Marcy Massura (MJ) was drawing before she could walk—her mother famously left crayons and paper in her crib, and instead of crying, she created. That instinct to make art never left her. Over the years, she’s worked across every medium, exploring form, color, and texture with an energy that blurs the line between passion and necessity.
Her creative path first led her into the apparel industry, where she honed an eye for design and detail, before pivoting into a career in advertising and marketing. Those experiences sharpened her ability to tell stories through visuals—an influence that continues to echo in her art today.
A California native, Marcy spends her time in her home studio on the West Coast. She is also a mother of two grown sons and has been married for 28 years—a life woven with creativity, family, and reinvention.
